Compact Washing Machine
I just moved to the beach and the condos here are all a lot smaller than what I am used to. But, hey I live close to the ocean and that is enough for me. When I bought this place it was kind of run down. I decided that I would completely remodel it before moving in and I am so happy with the results. I got bamboo flooring that I totally love because it is not only beautiful but earth eco friendly. I painted the place with a faux finish in my favorite shades of blue and green. It kinda looks like an Easter egg color palette to some of my friends but I love the soft pastel finish and faux Venetian plaster look is super cool. I bought some nice kitchen appliances and they look great. You don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for stainless steel appliances anymore. I was so surprised when I got my entire kitchen appliance in stainless steel for about half my kitchen budget. Shop around and ask retailers to price match because some of them will do it.
The biggest problem I ran into was the washing situation. The unit didn’t have any washer or dryer and I really didn’t want to be spending my free time in the Laundromat. So, I talked with a contractor who told me that I could do the necessary stuff to get the electrical and plumbing for a full sized washer and dryer. The only problem with this is that I wouldn’t have a closet anymore. Are you kidding me? How can a girl go without a closet! He then went on to tell me that there was another option that a lot of people who live in small places do which is to get a compact washing machine. He said they even make units the do both the washing and the drying. He said most people in Europe have them and they work just fine being installed in the kitchen. When I thought about it, I realized that I am a pretty petite girl and I live by the beach now. My loads won’t even be that large anyway.
